I wanted to see "Mission Control". You know, the big room where experts on the ground direct and coordinate space missions. You might call it "Flight Control" Thanks to the movies, we all know what mission control rooms are supposed to look like. Visiting this room, we saw folks were working through a simulated operation with astronauts swimming in spacewalk gear in a giant pool of water filled with life-sized ISS module models. (This giant pool of water was the Neutral Buoyancy Lab.) Nobody looked up at the giant screens on the wall; maybe those are just there because everyone who has seen a movie insists that a mission control room needs giant screens. Anyhow, here's a poorly stitched-together panorama of photos showing the room.
