Earlier that year, Yosemite had a forest fire. I saw some of the evidence as I tramped around on the valley floor. Some trees, like this one, were reduced to charred stumps. There were other trees that had halfway fallen over, but not all the way. A couple of these "leaners" leaned over the trails. I kinda trotted along those sections of trail.
