A few years back, I pointed out a multi-day Game shaping up in New Zealand with a bionic theme. That game never came together. But all was not lost! Eagle-eyed Justin Graham got word: The GC for that game is running a Game in Tampa in September! There's a critical mass of teams signed up, so figure that the game will come together. Wow, there's a lot of material on that website.
Hmm. I dunno if I'd go all the way to Tampa for a The Game, but combine that with a trip to Disney World to play their Kim Possible treasure hunt game and maybe a trip to Cape Canaveral and suddenly you're talking about an interesting outing. Uhm, but I don't really think I know anyone around here who's interested in such an outing. But I can dream.

I'm trying to talk my team into it. (Admittedly, my pitch includes the phrase "this is almost certainly a terrible idea...")
Interesting, yes. Plausible, no.
Thanks for putting our game out there. :) I have to put a disclaimer: This is my first game and those helping me (2 other people now) are knew to "The Game" and I had to explain it to them. With that having been said .... :)
We do have some teams who are used to playing other types of puzzle/treasure hunt games and the others are just eager and up for anything so I think it will be a fun game.
Actually we've had to do some tweaks because our GC is so small. So we will be running this like a road rally (i.e. teams have to travel our exact routes and arrive at our checkpoints at the exact time (too early or too late results in point losses). We have all kinds of fun, workable ways to carry this thing out. E-mail me if you have any questions but essentially we've had to get creative with how we are using our puzzles and gearing the entire driving force of the game off of the game theme.
Well.... it looks like our game is on hold AGAIN. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't just a little frustrated. We have such an awesome game planned. I'll keep you posted. I don't want to give up on it so I'm going to push the date back until next year some time but I may move it to the west coast.
