The Tenderloin National Forest is a cool little spot in San Francisco. It's been around for a few years, but I didn't know about it until I walked past today, checking up on 2-Tone Game sites. The Forest is not easy to describe: it's a bunch of plants growing in an alley; plants include a redwood tree and a maple tree; and there's a lot of art: painting, tiles, sculpture, ... It's not just arts and flora; there's also some neat displays about various forms of water reclamation. E.g., they put a plastic bag over one twig on the redwood tree so that you can see how much water vapor the tree swea^W transpires.
