: New: Comic Report: Planetary

It's superheroes, so you think I wouldn't be interested. But the emphasis is on information-gathering, not just beating each other up. If there's some bad guy who seems invulnerable, most comic books establish this fact by having superheroes fail to beat up that bad guy. That's silly, right? Instead of wasting time ineffectively pummeling this guy, why not jump straight to figuring out what he's vulnerable to, why he's attacking, ...? In Planetary, there's some fighting, but there's also a bunch of talking to informants, looking at things. As such, it's easier to take than most superhero comics.
