Remember how I went to New York and kinda figured out that some of the puzzle nerds there were into some kind of puzzly-geocaching combination thingy that I never really figured out? This week's Snoutcast talks with Brett Rogers and Cully Long, NYC puzzly geocachers, and together they figure it out. It's pretty awesome. Some interesting thoughts there about getting a puzzling community to gel in someplace that doesn't have one yet: (1) Find an existing popular activity that can be combined with puzzling; (2) Combine it with puzzling; (3) Give away awards for puzzling, like, say, challenge coins; (4) Involve alcohol.
