What if Neal Stephenson wrote a thriller in which fate throws together a ragtag mop of gamers, hackers, and spies and pits them against an international terrorist? Yeah, you probably already made up your mind about whether you wanted to read that book. The plot was pretty random, some of the characters were problematic, but I was willing to relax and enjoy the ride.
