: New: Book Report: Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close

I'm thinking about folks being brave today, so here's a book report about a story with a brave protagonist. My mom knew I'd like this novel: It's about a puzzlehunt. Or, rather, it's a sort of mystery as tackled by a somewhat obsessive kid who turns it into a puzzlehunt. Why is the kid obsessive? Probably because his dad was killed in the twin towers September 11, 2001. So you're rooting for this kid because he's so brittle; every time a stranger is nice to him, it gives you hope for humanity. In the end, he meets some interesting people and learns some interesting things. Which is about everything you can hope for from a story.
