It's a really good write-up of the Nonchalance/Jejune Institute Game. It's a Cardhouse product. That means it's written by someone who's a lot closer to the Nonchalant wavelength than I am; and also means it's probably pretty good. And I think it's pretty darned good. (You remember: Cardhouse. Maybe you remember. How old are you?) He was playing earlier than I was. You know all those times I said of Jejune, "Aw, this game is just following directions, there's no challenge." That's just because I came along late. E.g., there were difficult paths between Episode 1 and Episode 2. But I never noticed those because by the time I came along, there was an obvious path. Cardhouse et al were forced to follow those difficult paths because they started playing before Episode 2 was even available.
Also, thanks to him, I was finally able to see where octets' mixtapes ended up. Our group sent in a mixtape that didn't end up in the collection. Maybe because we sent ours in on deadline day? Which was perhaps, in practice, too late? Seeing as how Jejune was in the process of shutting down? Anyhow, it was good to get a chance to see that.
Write-up. So good. He made art as part of this. Art, yes. You go read now.
