If you'd asked me what makes a good refrigerator, I would have thought of insulation and, uhm, cooling power. I would not have thought of weight. But oh man it's nice that newer refrigerators are lighter than old ones. Even after the bulk of melted defrosted freezer-glacier cascades out of the bottom of the old fridge, the old fridge still weighs a lot more.
