: New: Twitter is Hiring a Tech Writer

...or maybe more than one. I dunno, @JoinTheFlock is mysterious to me. I didn't even know the listing was up until someone told me.

Am I under a non-solicit thingy with you? I.e., do you work at Google? If so, go somewhere else.

Are those guys gone? OK.

I'm having a fun time tech-writing at Twitter. You might, too. There are interesting systems to write about. Some of them (a surprising-to-me large fraction) are open-source, so you might get to write something that many many folks will read. It's definitely towards the more technical end. You know how there are some tasks where you don't need to know much about what you're writing about, because you're organizing information at such a high level? I haven't run into much of that. I find myself glad I know as much programming as I do; I find myself wishing I knew about operations and networking.

Here's a handy link to the job description: Jobs at Twitter: Technical Writer, Platform Engineering. If I know you and you'd like me to enter your name into the system, you can send me a resume. If you don't know me, that job description page probably has a way for you to enter a resume.
