It's action novels in which Parker the ruthless amoral thief. He is pursued into an amusement park that's shut down for the winter. And then a lot of ruthless people die. He gets involved with an art heist. And then a lot of ruthless people die. He goes back to the amusement park. And then a lot of ruthless people die.
Oh, and I recently read the comic book "Parker: the Score." All the bleak ruthlessness of a Parker book, but with an art style like you might have seen back in the appropriate day.
