: New: Zine Report: Cometbus, Giant Robot

There's a new Cometbus out. It's kind of amazing that I found out, since it's only at Pegasus books. So I only found out because I happened to be walking past, which I almost never do. It's a collection of mostly-previously-written material, but that material appeared in places I hadn't read. Apparently there was a Cafe Mediterraneum tribute `zine?

Why, you ask, was I in the East Bay? Was I in the 510 area code for 5/10? Uh, no. I was there for a walk and to see SuperAwesome, the OMCA art exhibit showing artists who'd appeared in Giant Robot. It also had a bit about zines—if I hadn't noticed that new-Cometbus flyer up at Pegasus, maybe maybe I would have noticed the copy dangling from a string in a display of 'zines. The art wasn't about what those artists did in the 1990s, though—it mostly shows what they do nowadays. Some gorgeousness, some silliness. (This was also the visit in which I found out OMCA had a whole floor I'd never visited before—a California natural history gallery.)
