I've been watching this serial documentary about how a computer game got made. It distills the thrill and the angst of game development. I've mentioned it before, but back then to see the videos, you had to kickstarter the game and… well, it wasn't trivially easy. Now, you can watch them on YouTube.* Well, you can see most of them; they're still making the videos. But by the time you've finished watching the existing videos, the others might be done. After all, the game they described is finished, yay. You can see what it's like when programmers and artists and cinematic types collaborate to make a game; it gets interesting.
*But if you're a grown-up, you'll still pay for it to support the filmmakers, right? Right.
