Operation Justice Unlimited: Arranging the Tubes: Solving an E

Painted strands and painted copper pipes.

Looking at one strand. It's trying to tell us how to arrange some of the pipes.

Putting a purple-painted strandlet inside the purple pipe. The purple-painted strandlet is only half the length of the pipe. There's a hole drilled in the pipe halfway through, so we poke the strand through that.

Put the strand through some more lengths of pipe, still obeying the color-match rule... Uh-oh, it looks like we're going to have to loop this thing through the orange and purple agsin. What a pain.

We need to start over. We're aiming for a loop like this.

OK, we started over. This time we start with the middle purple strandlet.

...and this way it's pretty easy to loop it around.

...and we're looking at a capital "E". Or maybe a number "3".
