In March of 1999, the third millenium was so close that I could taste it. It was time to continue exploring the atomic world.
The year before, I'd gone to Oak Ridge, TN. I hadn't really meant to go there. I'd just been in the neighborhood, visiting relatives. I'd been fascinated.
In March of 1999, I was unemployed. No-one was relying on me for anything.
So I rode buses around the Southwest.
