England Plus Paris: Part 2: Cat mummies

Cute, cartoonish, dead cat mummies. In the Louvre, I gained a new respect for that Introduction-to-Egyptology class I took lo these many years ago: I recognized a temple of Hathshepsut from a photo. I also recognized Akenaton's skinny face when I saw it on a statuary fragment. But then a little kid recognized it, too. Later on, I found out that a picture of that fragment appeared on the Louvre's map-pamphlet: it's a landmark. So now lots of people know that Akenaton is "the skinny one". Yayy.
