I was asked to write a blues song.
This is the best I could come up with at the time.

Goodness knows I'm not proud of it now.

Lost Doggie Blues

Since my doggie left me
I've been feeling so blue
Since my doggie left me
I just don't know what to do

We would have gone out that night
Out for a night on the town
But that bitch done up and left me
And was nowhere to be found

Thought she mide have been hiding
Out there playing one of her games
So I walked the icy streets
And with ev'ry step, I called her name

The next day I began to track her
By the prints she left in the snow
I wanted to find her quick as I could
Because by then it was fifty below

I finally found her outside of town
Hidden among the trees
She musta been whizzin' just before
The cold wind made her freeze

There she was, frozen solid
With yellow ice cubes piled 'round her knees
There was a real high rattlin' sound,
the teeth chatterin' on her fleas

So I took her home again
Brushed her off and put her on a shelf
She never did much anyhow
As a stiff, she's like her normal self

Oh, since my doggie got frozen,
I ain't had to clean up her poo.
Oh, since my doggie got frozen,
She's been looking so blue.
