: New: I Dare you to Travel to DASH

DASH is a puzzle hunt that's held in several cities. Last year, Deb, one of the bay area organizers, flew to NYC where GC was short-handed. She had fun, got to know some puzzle freaks, and she knew that she was making a big difference. (She had to hurry to get from clue site to clue site in time; so if she hadn't been there, you know the other people would have had to hurry that much faster.) This year, they're encouraging folks to travel (and maybe GC-volunteer) for DASH:

...We encourage you travel to a new city to play. Playing in a hunt is a great way to see a city and make new friends. Buy your tickets now to travel to any of the following cities: Ann Arbor, Austin, Boston, Davis, Bay Area, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York, Portland, San Diego, Santa Rosa, Seattle, Washington DC

I'll GC-volunteer someplace if they'll have me. Say the word, I'll book my travel. (Well, except Seattle. I already have an excuse to go to Seattle this year. Try to hide your disappointment, Seattle puzzle people.) I dare you to volunteer. I dare you to travel to volunteer. It's gonna be awesome. These places are fun to visit*. And maybe if these folks get some help on their early treasure hunts, they won't get too pooped out. And then they might have more puzzle hunts in the future. And then you can travel to their cities for their future hunts and you can carefully adjust your hipster glasses and say "Yeah, well, I was playing these games back in 2011, you know," and then all the new kids will want to touch the hem of your garment. It'll be awesome, I tell you.

*Actually, I have no idea whether or not Davis is fun to visit. But I'll never know if I don't go, right?
