: New: Puzzle Hunts are Everywhere, and worth documenting if you ship them to Seattle or something

I'm catching up (caught up now) on Snoutcasts, and just listened to the BANG 28 Debrief. You might wonder: what information was in the BANG 28 puzzle playbook? Folks kept raving about it (and about the Shinteki notes for volunteers). Well, I perked up when I heard about that, maybe because I'm a professional technical writer and find this stuff fascinating.

Anyhow, the volunteer-notes for the "You are here" puzzle had: Set up instructions, maintenance instructions (though I still managed to get confused on this part), a solution walk-through, suggested hints, and some "rules" (e.g., is it OK if teams touch the puzzle installation?).

I haven't kept any Shinteki volunteer notes, but if I remember correctly, I don't think they talk about the puzzle. I guess that it's OK if the volunteer's an ignoramus, LEON's automated hint system could pick up the slack. (Or maybe there are instructions about how the puzzle works, but I haven't paid attention because I'm a "second weekend" volunteer.) I mostly remember logistics: where and when to be in place. Call in when first team shows up, call in when first team leaves (to warn the next station). Call in when last team leaves. Keep track of teams and times.
