If you're already calling your US senators and/or representatives, maybe nudge them to support:

• Senate bill 200
• H.R. bill 669

These bills say that the President can't do a nuclear first strike on a nation that Congress hasn't declared war on. If our president gets cranky while on the phone with some other nation's leader, checks and balances could help.
