- Public Health Art by Susan Kare, I bet: I took pictures of some sidewalk art and speculated that famous artist Susan Kare drew the art. Later, Susan Kare "liked" a tweet about the blog post which might mean she indeed drew the art or maybe might mean she was just in an agreeable mood that day.
- Book Report: The Grid (The Fraying Wires Between Americans and Our Energy Future) I read a pretty-interesting book on a surprisingly-interesting topic: the USA's national electric grid. In olden times, the national grid meant power was more stable: if California was short on power, Oregon could help out. But lately the grid's been in bad shape—a problem in California can spread to Oregon. And there are fires etc. Folks think this stuff works by magic; but it's not magic and all too often lately, it doesn't work.
- Octotorpean Shut Down Octothorpean.org shut down. It was built "on top" of a changing platform. If I had some sustained time to concentrate, I could tweak Octothorpean to keep up with those changes… but this pandemic has been pretty distracting. Maybe 2022?
Some of y'all have been expecting a write-up of the 2020 MIT Mystery Hunt. Did I mention that this pandemic has been pretty distracting? I should finish it eventually. Maybe 2021?
