I got a TDAP booster today, a.k.a. a booster vaccine against tetanus, diptheria, and whooping cough. I remember back when antivax was a loony left-wing thing and the new age hippies of Marin County had a whooping cough outbreak. That was back in 2018, not so long ago; I bet a bunch of those jerks are still making trouble and fomenting infection in the SF bay area, no thank you.

In my other arm, I got the first half of a shingles vaccine. I remember that Yar caught shingles back in 2019 when we were working on Mystery Hunt. Dude was grumpy. At the time I thought "I should get the vaccine" but there were vaccine shortages then. Then a pandemic struck, causing me to shun human contact and thus avoid catching shingles for the next two years, by which time the shortage was over. That's a darned thin silver lining on a pretty bad cloud but I'll take it.

I didn't get a COVID booster. As far as I know, I'm not in one of the groups that's supposed to get one these days; also, I ran out of arms.
