When I popped out of the coffee shop on the homeward leg of this morning's walk, a rainbow dazzled me. San Francisco doesn't get much rain; I don't see many rainbows. This one caught me by surprise. I stood in busy-busy Oak Street and looked up at the sky agape.

Busy-busy Oak Street isn't a great place to stand and gawp at a rainbow. So I walked uphill a block to Page Street. It's a "slow street" with barricades to discourage through traffic. Thus instead of walking on the sidewalk and peering at the rainbow through street trees, I could walk in the road and chase the rainbow with a clear view. That was a pretty good walk, 110% worth getting rained on.
