: New:

I am learning more about things javascript can do in the browser, without using a computer server. Like when a web page tells you to upload a picture, I assumed that the web page had to save that picture on a server somewhere before it let you mess with it. But I was quite wrong. I think what I've written here is a blog post that lets you turn a picture into a green-monitor-looking version of that picture. I was loosey-goosey with the error checking; I bet if you upload a spreadsheet, it won't be happy. But this was pretty simple to slap together. And the next time I want a green-looking profile picture, maybe I can just use this blog post instead of mucking around in a paint app.

(Sorry, tumblr people. I bet my automatic-blog-post-copy-to-tumblr service will blithely turn this into a tumblr post with several "paragraphs" of jumbly javascript. I should remember to replace that with a link to the blog post. Yep.)
