A big storm will blow through the San Francisco bay area tomorrow. We're supposed to prepare; but I wasn't sure what to do. A lot of earthquake-preparedness carries over to storm-preparedness.
But then on my morning exercise walk along JFK Promenade in Golden Gate Park, I walked past the outdoor ping-pong table. I saw that the little box of ping-pong equipment was sitting out exposed in the plaza. So I reached out a toe to nudge the box under the ping-pong table. Now, any rain that falls straight down will fall next to the box instead of into the box assuming nobody moves the box later today which actually seems pretty likely. Thus I contribute to community preparedness.
