#EnigMarch is a daily puzzle creation challenge; each day during the month of March, it double-dares everyone to create a puzzle. I made a puzzle today:
We place "egg" words in "nest" words and hope that new words hatch. Here, "eggs" are three-letter words and "nests" are four-letter words; nestle the three-letter word in the center of the four-letter word. E.g., if the "egg" is ARE and the "nest" is NEST, we hatch the word NE-ARE-ST: NEAREST.
If the "nests" are: DEED LEON ORAL PIER REDS REED SHOW
…and the "eggs" are: ALL BAN BIT FIN ONE SIR WAR
…then hatch these words:
classy | _ _ ◯ _ _ _ _ |
way out there | _ _ _ _ _ _ ◯ |
early arrival | _ _ _ _ _ ◯ _ |
valuable | ◯ _ _ _ _ _ _ |
nation | _ _ _ ◯ _ _ _ |
payoffs | _ _ _ _ _ _ ◯ |
puddle-like | _ ◯ _ _ _ _ _ |
The circled letters yield another nest and egg; what's the final hatched word?
Here's the answer, ROT13'd:
