November 24, 2013 was Bay Area Treasure Hunt (BATH) 5. It was a BATH; that is, it was a "pot-luck" puzzlehunt in which each team brought one puzzle to the start. Each puzzle was to be solved at some location in NE San Francisco. It was also a surprise birthday party for Scott "Puzzalot" Royer, which had made planning a bit tricky. (If you wanted someone to playtest your puzzle, you couldn't just mail your favorite puzzly mailing list: Scott was probably on it.) It was around the 50th anniversary of the Doctor Who TV show, so the hunt had a Whovian theme.
