As you might expect in the stronghold of Ron Paul, local property owners aren't forced to agree on sidewalks. Some places had sidewalks, some places had lawn, some places had rubble, some places had hedgery. Of those places that had a sidewalk going through lawn, they didn't always agree what distance from the curb the sidewalk should be at--and thus one property's sidewalk might not meet that of its neighbor. I found myself mostly walking out in the road; I'm not exactly sure what the proper pedestrian etiquette was; I saw darned few pedestrians. I guess I was supposed to be driving.
