Did I mention I was there in October? There wasn't much water. It was dry. That's why this riverbed didn't have a river in it. Also the waterfalls weren't so full. Most folks don't like to look at dry waterfalls. So there weren't so many people. In the past, when I've walked up the Mist Trail, it hasn't been so much a "trail" as a "vertical hiker traffic jam." But when I hiked up it in October, it wasn't a traffic jam. When people wanted to step aside and rest, there was space for them. It was pretty nice, albeit not as misty as one might be used to.
