Yosemite 2009: Substitute Swinging Bridge

Substitute Swinging Bridge

I had a hard time finding the Swinging Bridge. To get there, I walked along a bike path that was marked with a sign saying "Bus parking only: no bicycles no pedestrians." (It turned out that the sign refered to a patch of pavement near the bike path. Which is probably why other places with dense, complicated road use paint the pavement funny colors and post signs saying "The Purple Zone is for Bus Parking only".) When I found the Swinging Bridge, it was closed for repairs. However, there was a substitute bridge provided. It wasn't as big as the Swinging Bridge--this was a dry season, so they didn't need such a wide/high bridge. It didn't swing, but it was kind of wobbly, made of planks tied together with rope.
