Frivolity: Japanese Music: Tokyo Ska Paradise Album

From the "Who asked You?" Department, it's my opinion of Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra (official page, I think).

What I've heard:: "Moods For Ska/We Don't Know What Ska Is!" (album, Epic/Sony); "Best (1989-1997)" (album, Epic); Live show June 18, 2004, at the IndependentSF club.
Gross Generalization:: Big Ska Arrangements
Rambling:: They played the best live show I have ever seen. (As of June 2004, anyhow.)
A big band playing ska, skillfully. That's enough to make me want to seek out their stuff. This music isn't punk, so if you're only into ska-punk, you probably aren't into this. But I like it plenty.
