"'Water' Charles Sheeler"

"Turbine"

"Pipes"

Before we left for New York, I'd gone to the library. I'd been stumbling around the catalog and had noticed there was a subject "Precisionism." I didn't know what it meant. I was so intrigued that I checked out a book with that subject. I didn't get a chance to read it. Soon I was in New York, looking at art. One painting so intrigued me that I had to attempt a crude sketch, just to try and hold it that much more firmly in my memory.

When I got back home, I opened that book. It was Charles Sheeler and the Cult of the Machine. It was about the guy who'd done this painting. Which is a pretty good example of the work of the Precisionist school of art.

Gee, if I'd done a better sketch, maybe you would have learned what Precisionist art looks like. Sorry about that.
